Our normal hours of operation are Sundays 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
and Tuesdays 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM. and we are open both days to the
public. We offer Sporting Clays (6 different courses), 5-Stand, Pyramid
Wobble Trap, Skeet, Trap and Doubles Trap.
Castlewood's Sporting Clays Courses
are all fully automatic traps.
During our registered shoots we are still open to the public for Sporting
Clays with either 50 or 100 bird rounds.
Our 5-Stand is in full operation and open to the public on
Sundays from 9:00 AM until 3:00 PM and also on Tuesday evenings from 4:00 PM
until 10:00 PM under the lights. We offer a 6 machine lay out with 5
different games available to test your skills. Each game is progressively
more difficult starting with Novice and going through Game 4 and will be sure to
challenge all shooters no matter what your ability.
Also available during our regular operating hours is the Pyramid 5 Stand.
The Pyramid is operated with an automatic wobble trap and will be sure to
skills and is a great warm up and practice before going out on our challenging
sporting clays course.
Castlewood Rod & Gun Club is pleased to
announce the addition of our 2nd Sporting Clays course.
For the past few months we have been working to install the new Self Service 15
station wireless course. The new course is in the Southwest wooded area of the
club grounds. This addition will enable our members to utilize the new “Woods
Course” daily from 9am until dusk.
The New course is in now and Starting September 1st Station cards can be
purchased to shoot the course 7 days a week. See below for fees and times.
Castlewood is open to the public Sundays from 9am to 2pm. In order to shoot the
course any other day, you must be a member of the club.
In the near future we will be adding super sporting and Winter and Summer
leagues, if enough interest exist.
There are a few new safety rules that will need discussed with anyone shooting
the new course. These rules will be explained in person. Members must purchase a
sporting clays card to activate the “Long Range Counter” wireless release system
at each shooting station. Members are permitted to bring guests, but, they must
accompany any non-member shooting on the course. Additional details will be
forthcoming as they become available. See one of the clays shoot officers
working on Sundays with any questions.
Counter card Details:
• Members only- may bring guests but the member must be with the guests
• Shooting hours – 9am until Dusk daily
• Club clays carts are not available at this time; however, you may bring your

• For the next few months the cards will be loaded with extra targets for Show

the station number with any problems.
• Stay on the designated trail. Taking a shortcut could result in you being in
harms’ way of other shooters.
• Please respect the club grounds by using trash receptacles and if using a cart
try not to destroy the trails.
• When shooting stations 11 thru 15 please be aware that there may be rifle
shooters down range. The Rifle shooters will have the same warning. Please “BE
SAFE” while on the course.
