During our registered shoots we are still open to the public for Sporting Clays with either 50 or 100 bird rounds.

Our 5-Stand is in full operation and open to the public on Sundays from 9:00 AM until 3:00 PM and also on Tuesday evenings from 4:00 PM until 10:00 PM under the lights.  We offer a 6 machine lay out with 5 different games available to test your skills.  Each game is progressively more difficult starting with Novice and going through Game 4 and will be sure to challenge all shooters no matter what your ability.

Also available during our regular operating hours is the Pyramid 5 Stand.  The Pyramid is operated with an automatic wobble trap and will be sure to challenge your skills and is a great warm up and practice before going out on our challenging sporting clays course.

Castlewood Rod & Gun Club is pleased to announce the addition of our 2nd Sporting Clays course.

For the past few months we have been working to install the new Self Service 15 station wireless course. The new course is in the Southwest wooded area of the club grounds. This addition will enable our members to utilize the new “Woods Course” daily from 9am until dusk.

The New course is in now and Starting September 1st Station cards can be purchased to shoot the course 7 days a week. See below for fees and times. Castlewood is open to the public Sundays from 9am to 2pm. In order to shoot the course any other day, you must be a member of the club.

In the near future we will be adding super sporting and Winter and Summer leagues, if enough interest exist.

There are a few new safety rules that will need discussed with anyone shooting the new course. These rules will be explained in person. Members must purchase a sporting clays card to activate the “Long Range Counter” wireless release system at each shooting station. Members are permitted to bring guests, but, they must accompany any non-member shooting on the course. Additional details will be forthcoming as they become available. See one of the clays shoot officers working on Sundays with any questions.

Counter card Details:
• Members only- may bring guests but the member must be with the guests
• Shooting hours – 9am until Dusk daily
• Club clays carts are not available at this time; however, you may bring your own.

Range Rules:
• For the next few months the cards will be loaded with extra targets for Show and Breakage.
• All attempts will be made to keep the throwers loaded and the batteries charged.
• If a thrower is not working or you keep getting a broken target “DO NOT KEEP PUSHING THE BUTTON” move on and shoot stations that are working. Please report the station number with any problems.
• Stay on the designated trail. Taking a shortcut could result in you being in harms’ way of other shooters.
• Please respect the club grounds by using trash receptacles and if using a cart try not to destroy the trails.
• When shooting stations 11 thru 15 please be aware that there may be rifle shooters down range. The Rifle shooters will have the same warning. Please “BE SAFE” while on the course.
